Hello and Welcome
I just wanted to say thank you for coming to my blog. I've never done a blog before, but I know that it is an easy way to keep friends and family updated on what is happening in my life while I spend the summer in Dublin. I promise to start updating this regularly as soon as I arrive in the field sometime on May 30th.
I am so blessed to have this opportunity to go and do cross-cultural mission work over the course of this summer. This will be a summer that consists of a lot of firsts; my first mission trip, my first trip overseas, my first airplane ride. I will be gaining a lot of new experiences and I'm happy to get to share them with you through this blog.
Quite a few people have been asking me if I've been getting nervous or excited about leaving, as if I have to be one or the other. I imagine that I am a little of both, but mostly my mind is imagining what it will be like. What is this church like? What are the people like? How will I serve? What will God do over the course of the summer? I am eager to see how these questions are answered, to see the work of God in another country, and to be able to hold onto what I've seen and learned and share it with you.
Thank you for your contributions, your prayers, your friendships, and thank you also for taking the time to read this... I know that four paragraphs can be a daunting task.
I'll keep you updated... and leave a comment,
God Bless
Luke
